The EPL Talk Podcast is the only Premiership interview show on the Internet. Every week we feature intelligent interviews with different guests that include commentators, players, authors and legends from the English Premier League.

John Turnbull is the proprietor of The Global Game and an editor of the book by the same name.  On Wednesday's edition of the EPL Talk podcast he joins me to talk about the importance of football in day-to-day life, the implications of the extended reach (and influence) of the Premier League, and his Arsenal fan's view of Wednesday's Champions League match at the Emirates.

Declan Hill's The Fix has quickly become a seminal book in contemporary football, sounding the alarm on the growing problems of corruption and organized crime in world football.  Months after Declan's previous appearance on the show, we redress the issue of match-fixing in Champions League and Europa League while looking forward to the possibility of similar problems in this summer's World Cup.

A note on The Fix: As Declan alludes in the interview, a new version of the book will be out next month, one in which he details some of his experiences with the governing bodies as they struggle with these emerging problems.
