The top of the table reads "Manchester, Manchester" after Boxing Day weekend, with Manchester United maintaining their place atop the table, another awakening from Carlos Tévez guiding City to three points. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself, Laurence McKenna and Christopher Harris talk about Sunday's seven matches and happenings, from Dimitar Berbatov's brace, ten Spurs getting three points, Fulham falling to West Ham, and Wigan climbing out of the drop. We also look forward to Monday's match at the Emirates and the mid-week fixtures on this, the weekend review edition of the EPL Talk podcast. |

It may be Serie A news, but Rafa Benítez's sacking at Inter Milan is Premier League fodder. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself and Laurence McKenna talk about the newly unemployed, former Liverpool boss. Also, we review Monday's upset at Eastlands and El-Hadji Diof's niceties for Jamie Carragher before looking toward the weekend - Boxing Day as well as Arsenal-Chelsea. |

There wasn't much to talk about around the Premier League this weekend. Not only did seven of nine fixtures meet with postponement, but none of the league's top five teams were in action. As a result, our normal weekend review show that strains to make it in under an hour has no material, so aside from a brief conversation between myself and co-host Laurence McKenna, we shift focus. On thie edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, The Football Ramble's Luke Moore joins me to discuss the Blackburn coaching position, his support of a newly relegated club (Portsmouth), Carlo Ancelotti's stewardship of Chelsea, Spurs' title hopes, Champions League, and how history will remember this Barcelona side. Luke was kind enough to join me last Friday for a longer interview, parts of which will be released in the coming month. Today, we hear he joins us to help fill in the gaps left my an orphaned Premier League weekend. |

It has become the premier match-up of the Premier League: Manchester United and Chelsea. On Sunday, the clubs meet for the first time this season when the Red Devils visit the defending champions, clearly this weekend's match of the week. To talk about that, I'm joined by The Gaffer, making a special appearance on his own show! But before we go over the minutae of Sunday's meeting, we look back to Monday's meeting at Old Trafford and the midweek news out of Lancashire: Big Sam finding a pink slipas the Venky's move on. It's all on this weekend preview edition of the EPL Talk podcast. |

Last week I was fortunate to be joined by John Nicholson, whose work you know from EPLTalk.com as well as Football365.co.uk. In addition to talking about his book, We Ate All The Pies, we discussed the plight of his club (Middlesbrough), football's place on Boxing Day, and the new shape of the Premier League. For those interesting in picking up a copy of John's book, you can order from Amazon US or Amazon UK. |

Chelsea visit to Tottenham Hotspur highlighted a nine match weekend in the Premier League, with an erratic performance from Heurelho Gomes gifting the Blues an equalizer, denying a match winner in the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane. That the reqult allowed Manchester City, 3-1 winners at Upton Park, to sit joint top of the table ahead of tomorrow's marquee match, Arsenal's visit to Manchester United, where the winner will gain first place in the English Premier League after 17 rounds. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, I am joined by Kartik Krishnaiyer to discuss those matches as well as the rest of the fixtures in weekend Premier League action. We take extra time to talk about Spurs-Chelsea, from Carlo Ancelotti's plan to stop Gareth Bale, John Terry's strong performance, to the overlooked Petr Cech. In addition, we talk about Carlos Tévez's attempt to leave Manchester City before moving on to Monday's match, breaking down the particulars of the season's first Manchester United-Arsenal meeting, looking back at the last two years to try and figure out what United's likely to due, asking if it even matters against an Arsenal site that has lacked the mentality to down the Devils. This show was recorded live on Sunday evening, streaming through EPLTalk.com starting a 10 pm. BST, 5 p.m. EST. Join us each week for the live show for your chance to have you feedback incorporated into the discussion. |

All four English Premier League clubs in UEFA Champions League are through to the knock-out round, though not all advancements are made the same. Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea topped their groups, but thanks to Arsenal finishing second in Group H, the Gunners can be drawn against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or Barcelona in the Round of 16. To talk about how the league's clubs faired in Champions League, I was joined on Wednesday by Kartik Krishnaiyer to review the mid-week action as well as look forward to this weekend, when Chelsea's visit to Spurs will give a stumbling Blues side another chance to turn their ship around. |

With Manchester United's match in Blackpool postponed and Chelsea being drawn by Everton at the Bridge, Arsenal's win over Fulham sent the Gunners top, with Samir Nasri vaulting himself into the league's elite. On a team level, Manchester City may have done the some, with their 1-0 win over Bolton underscored by their more creative display of football this season. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna talk about that, the rest of the league's fixtures, World Cup second-guessing, as well as the upcoming, mid-week Champions League action - the final round of the competition's group stage. |

We go into the 16th match day with a new outlook in the title race. Only a couple of weeks ago we were narrowing our eyes toward the two team race. Now our whites are exposed to five at the top in what is playing out as an unprecedentedly open title race. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, co-host Laurence McKenna and myself graze across this Huxleyian landscape and try to provide a map for the coming weekend. Along the way, we talk some Carling Cup, gab about squad news, pontificate on the England media's Beckham adoration, and reveal who was on the back of our first jerseys. We might talk about the World Cup bids, too. Not much, though. On this show, we try to focus on league. It's the latest edition of the EPL Talk Podcast. |
