These match days could be remembered as when United took charge of the league. They've said it once and they'll say it again. Don't count them out. But not all is lost, at least there were some draws in there. This run of games is known for being up and down but if someone can put a run together then it makes the league a lot more interesting. Both Fergie and 'Arry are the two men doing that right now with both Spurs and United putting in convincing performances whilst the rest of them just flounced about with little to show for it. Effectively, no one took charge of the games and it is frustrating. The pod also looks forward to the New Year period and how those games could have an effect on the league. The glee begins but reality has set in at the FA as Luis Suarez was charged. However the process is far from over. In the first section of the EPL Talk podcast we look at the initial reaction and what might come of the harsh words spoken by all parties. The FA still has a lot to learn about PR… Apart from the news, the football has been excellent, delivering drama and class in equal amounts. We bring that together in section two as Kartik and Kristan get the opportunity to analyse all nine of the games. Annoyingly, it has almost become normal that Manchester rules the roost, so we take a look at the class and cheers being spread around the league. Section three previews Spurs v. Chelsea, a huge derby in the context and a headache for both managers as they try to impose their will on the top four. With injuries in key positions for Harry and a selection headache for AVB who will be 3rd on Christmas day? We also encourage you to listen to Richard Farley's audio documentary for EPL Talk. It is a little Christmas present from the Gaffer. Go to EPLTalk.com for the audio series. It's the most wonderful time of the year, just Premier League matches. The run must come now for some managers. So this pod is to review the weekend which set up the Christmas period. Positivity might rein at the top of the league but nerves will be frayed as injuries and points begin to stack up in someones favour. Kartik and Kristan take an in-depth look at City – Arsenal; Wigan – Chelsea; and Villa – Liverpool. Whilst the rest of the league prepare to catch up with Manchester, what do their fixtures look like? EPL Talk devotes a segment to Manchester and how their Christmas might break down or build up. Then we preview the best of the games in the run-up to Christmas day. Expect a flurry of podcasts between now and then. You'll be positively snowed under with audio. Between now and then, what present would you give a football fan this Christmas? We still need tips... It's the most wonderful time of the year, just Premier League matches. Spurs and Birmingham crash out of Europe, but no one seems to mind: what doesn't kill you…etc. Well it seems that positivity is wide-spread as we climb the hill towards Christmas. Teams are building themselves up. The general consensus is that we can't right anyone off until New Year, January is gonna be interesting! In this week's pod we review City x Chelsea, including the fallout from that game. AVB has been doing better, but decisions have gone his way, whilst Mancini could feel hard-done-by after the run of games he has been stung in. But Man City sit on top of the tree, so in facing Arsenal they have to be the favourites, right? We also preview a 'Super Sunday' which includes United visiting QPR and Liverpool playing Villa. For the rest, there is some stiff competition which Laurence expects will result in open football. The big names didn't dominate the league this weekend and it gives a chance to assess what is going on for the rest of the league. It is BEAUTIFUL! Football won out as freedom of the pitch was granted to some of the best strikers of the ball in living memory (Riise missed a few too…) But then the frustration set in and Spurs felt hard-done-by as the referee made some controversial calls which ultimately cost 'Arry and the lads the game. How did you see it? United beat Wolves 4 – 1, but is this a signal that the winds of change are blowing for Fergie? Kristan assesses, whilst Kartik weighs up their rivals. And we preview the Monday night game between Chelsea and City, the Spanish influence on both sides gives this an exciting edge, as we hope for some entertaining visuals. However with both sides desperate to continue their assault on the top of the table could we see some spanish spice spill onto the pitch? But which two? Manchester was knocked out of the Champions League, whilst London thrived under pressure. What does this mean for the title race? Why won't anyone criticise Ferguson for his team's problems? United have been poor for almost a month now and most people are wondering where the evaluation of Ferguson will come. We insight conversation, and possibly more, as Jesse worries that United aren't even in the transitional period that promised so much. However, youth is on their side… Chelsea are through, AVB is vindicated on his policy? Strength, power and speed were all at Chelsea's disposal as they demolished Valencia to power through. Will this change their league form? Arsenal make it through too. It feels like there was an inevitability about it now, but at the start of the season: who saw it? And we preview all of the weekend's action. So why not tweet along with the EPLTalk podcast? Share your views and comments as you listen and start a new conversation. We're all very good at rushing to conclusions about our managers. The tone on the EPL Talk podcast is one of understanding, as we get get to grips with Steve Kean, AVB and MO'N. Transition into December and the critical Christmas points approach, all of the managers want to approach this with a run so that the stampede of games which happen between Christmas and New Year don't floor your team. That is why it is critical for the managers and teams to be in harmony as Advent begins. So when it comes to this period we could not have started it any better, everyone is looking forward and approaching their matches with positivity. Christmas in the air and referees were in the giving mood this weekend, handing out cards like they had a mailing list. But who deserved their punishment and who got away with it?
